ニュージーランド生まれ、オーストラリア育ち、現在はロンドンに拠点を移し活動を行なっているジョーダン・ラカイ。
今回紹介するのは、6月14日リリースのアルバム『Origin』からファースト・シングル” Mind’s Eye “。
この曲は、人間の身体にデバイスを埋め込むのが当たり前になった未来の世界を描いているらしく、そのデバイスが故障を起こし、彼のマインド・アイ(心の眼)に「現実とは一体何なのか」を考えさせるようなビジョンが浮かんでくるというテーマで描かれているそう。
作り上げられた世界観と、洗練されたサウンドが彼の芸術性を十分に表しています。
