4月12日にサプライズ・リリースされる予定だったこのアルバム。しかし同じLAのラッパー、ニプシー・ハッスルが3月31日、何者かに発砲され亡くなってしまったことでリリースは遅れ、5月24日のリリースとなりました。
アルバムのジャケットには” In loving memory of Nipsey Hustle “の文字、13曲目にはニプシーへのトリビュートとして” My Last Words “という楽曲が追加されております。

今回紹介する” Hard Bottoms & White Sox “は太く硬いワークパンツに、長い真っ白のソックスというLAのギャングのスタイルを表現したもの。彼は自身がウエスト・コーストの代表であり、” 顔 “なんだと語っています。また、ブラッズに所属するYGとは敵対関係にあるギャング・クリップスに所属するニプシーへのリスペクト、ドレイクのグラミーでのスピーチを引用していることにも注目です !
