2019年を迎えリリースから10年が経った3枚目のEP『So Far Gone』はドレイク最初の出世作に。
” Forever “で本人も「ミックステープをドロップした、まるでアルバムみたいなサウンドさ、誰がミックステープでツアーをやるなんて想像した？」と語っていますが、アルバムとミックステープの境界線を限りなく近くした、ミックステープの概念を変化させた作品と言えるでしょう。カニエの” Say You Will”などサンプリングを多用した作品は、評価を得て、その後のメジャー・アルバム『Thank Me Later』『Take Care』へと続いていきます。
